Discovery Farms to host a Virtual Conference Series in December and January

Discovery Farms Programs in Wisconsin and Minnesota are excited to bring to host a virtual conference series this winter. The theme for the series is ‘Keeping up with your conservation goals through change and challenge’.

Join Discovery Farms on seven Wednesdays for one hour as they cover topics like water quality, soil health, climate change, and more! These events are free and will be hosted Wednesday’s from 12:00pm – 1:00pm CT in December and January starting December 2nd.

The virtual series agenda includes

  • Wednesday, December 2, 2020 – Mitigating climate change through soil carbon sponge
  • Wednesday, December 9, 2020 – Edge-of-field water quality data and how it can help us in a changing climate
  • Wednesday, December 16, 2020 – Latest resources on soil health
  • Wednesday, January 6, 2020 – Minnesota’s groundwater protection rule and how it effects farming and N management
  • Wednesday, January 13, 2020 – Tile drainage in Minnesota and Wisconsin: What we need to know from on-farm monitoring and practical management implications for farmers
  • Wednesday, January 20, 2020 – Rules and tools about manure
  • Wednesday, January 27, 2020 – Applying skills we’ve learned to manure management
