The purpose of this web seminar is to support investment-oriented actions promoting soil health and carbon storage by improving the accounting of soil carbon sequestration. We seek to answer the question: How can soil carbon accounting improve to support investment-oriented actions promoting soil health and carbon storage?
Measuring and assessing soil health are critical for understanding how changes in agronomic management practices affect the capability of soil to support cropping systems. In this presentation, the Soil Health Institute will focus on explaining measurements and assessments of soil health associated with soil-nitrogen dynamics.
The topic will be resilience and soil health and will feature Gregg Sanford of the University of Wisconsin-Madison. In this talk, Gregg will discuss the findings from this long-term analysis of perennial and diverse agroecosystems and their importance for farming in a changing climate. Register here.
