Restoring and Maintaining Riparian (Water) Areas in a Grazing System
March 20, 2023 @ 2:00 pm - 3:00 pm
This session will focus on best practices where grazing systems and waterways interact on the farm. Animals can be a helpful participant in stewarding our water but can also do great harm. Moving earth, planting, and grazing activities must be well planned and coordinated to be beneficial. We will discuss approaches to this practice and resources for more support. Facilitated by FACT and Steve Gabriel, farmer and consultant with Wellspring Forest Farm and author of SILVOPASTURE.
This webinar is a follow-up to a previous FACT webinar with Steve Gabriel called, “Water Management for Pasture Grazing Systems.”
