Key Water Definitions of NR 151 – Case Studies and Discussions from the Field Webinar

June 2, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 12:00 pm

Water on Wisconsin farms presents itself in many different forms. Even categories like surface water and groundwater have subcategories that often require guidance to define and interpret. Join county, DNR, and DATCP staff for the next installment of the NR 151 training webinar series:

Key Water Definitions of NR 151 – Case Studies and Discussions from the Field

10:00 a.m. – 10:15 a.m. – Brief reiteration of primary NR 151 performance standards referencing surface and groundwater resources, and reminder of where to locate previous presentation recordings.

  • Surface Waters: waters of the state (WOTS), water quality management areas (WQMAs), navigability, concentrated flow channels, intermittent/perennial streams, setbacks, subsurface drainage, “W” soils, and wetlands. Visual aids/examples provided.
  • Groundwater:
