Grazing Cover Crops Field Day
Join us to learn about the opportunities to boost forage production, improve soil health and fertility, as well as extending the grazing season through grazing cover crops.
The host for this event is Chris Reichert of Reichert Land and Cattle. Chris’s farm is a participating farm in the Between the Lakes Demonstration Farm Network. He is also an agronomist with Country Visions Cooperative.
We’ll be checking out his innovative plan to split a newly added field into 3’s (corn, soy, and wheat) with cover crops in each. His goal is to make the grazing schedule really efficient! Chris also planted a grazable buffer strip along the field with a unique watering system.
