Dairy Summit

November 18, 2020 @ 10:00 am - 3:30 pm

Free
In addition to research presentations, there will be three panel sessions designed to stimulate ideas and discussion:
  • A diverse panel of farmers will discuss important topics related to their unique farming systems and how current and future Hub-funded research can address these challenges.
  • Opportunities and innovations in the supply chain will be the focus of a processor panel. This group will discuss how with Hub can enhance current resources available to existing and aspiring processors.
  • A legislative panel discussion about support for the Hub and Wisconsin agriculture will feature three advocates for agriculture and dairy: Sen. Howard Marklein (R-Spring Green), Rep. Dave Considine (D-Baraboo) and Rep. Tony Kurtz (R-Wonewoc).
Finishing out the day will be a virtual tour of Pioneer Farm, UW-Platteville’s 430-acre, 180-cow teaching, research, and outreach farm. UW-Platteville will serve as the virtual host for the event.
