Aquatic Plant ID Workshop
June 25 - June 27
The Extension Lakes program is once again offering Aquatic Plant ID Workshops.
The northern Wisconsin workshops will be held at Kemp Natural Resources Station in Woodruff, WI on June 25, 26, and 27. This workshop is repeated three times so you only need to register for one day. Rustic lodging in shared rooms (2-6 people to a room) is available in the lodge at Kemp Station for $50/night. Bathrooms and showers are located in the lower level of the lodge.
The northern workshops include a general overview of aquatic plant ID, including hands-on instruction with 60+ species of aquatic plants representing the common species found throughout the state and some rare species. This workshop includes an on-the-water component on Lake Tomahawk. Please bring your own kayak/canoe/paddleboard and life jacket. There are a couple of canoes available at the station for those that do not have their own watercraft, and there is a small motorboat available that we can use if you are not comfortable in a kayak/canoe.
Have a training you don’t see listed? Reach out to us and let us know.
